Attending team placements does not guarantee placement on a team, but an effort is made to find a place for every skater who wants to participate in the Nor’Easters program.

While attending placements does not commit you to accepting a place on a team, we ask that you only register if you are seriously interested in joining the program. If at any time during this process you decide you do not want to skate, please let us know.

If you are unsure which placement group your skater belongs in, please email us and we can assist with making sure you attend the right session for your skater.

Your $35 placement fee includes both of your groups scheduled sessions, we strongly recommend you attend both. If you cannot attend either, contact us for private tryout options (additional payment required for private tryout sessions).

Team Placements 2024 - 2025

Your $35 fee includes both the skills and tryout sessions. Skaters are STRONGLY encouraged to attend both the skills session and the tryout session for their group. Please note that the $35 tryout fee is non-refundable once paid.

If you cannot attend the tryouts, select "private tryout requested". Only utilize this option if you truly cannot attend the tryout session. We use tryouts to see how skater's interact and skate as a group, so it is most beneficial to have them on the ice together. Additional fees will be assessed for private tryout times. We will contact you with additional options for times to meet with our coaches.

Group A: Ages: 6 - 17
Levels: BS 3 - FS 6 or Passed Pre-Preliminary SS

Group B: Ages 10 - 17
Level: Must have passed Preliminary SS (Pre-Bronze Preferred)

In consideration of participating in North Atlantic Figure Skating Club activities, I represent that I understand the nature of figure skating activities (“activity”) and that I am qualified, in good health, and in proper physical condition to participate in such “activity”. I acknowledge that if I believe event conditions are unsafe, I will immediately discontinue participation in the“activity”.I fully understand that this “activity” involves risks of serious bodily injury, including permanent disability, paralysis and death, which may be caused by my own actions, or inactions, those of others participating in the“activity”, the conditions in which the “activity” takes place, or the negligence of the “releasees” named below; and that there may be other risks either not known to me or not readily foreseeable at this time; and I fully accept and assume all such risks and all responsibility for losses, costs, and damages I incur as a result of my participation-in the “activity”.I hereby release, discharge, and covenant not to sue the North Atlantic Figure Skating Club, U. S. Figure Skating ,its directors, officers, administrators, sponsors, volunteers, agents, employees, staff, instructors, trainers, other participants and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises on which the “activity” takes place (each consider done of the “Releasees” herein) from all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages on my account caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the “releasees” or otherwise, including negligent rescue operations; and I further agree that if, despite this release, waiver of liability, and assumption of risk, I, or anyone on my behalf, makes a claim against any of the Releasees, I will indemnify, save, and hold harmless each of the releasees from any loss, liability, damage, or cost which any may incur as the result of such claim.The North Atlantic Figure Skating Club has the right to provide rules and regulations for club ice and all NAFSC activities and sponsored events.I have read this WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, and understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing it and have signed it freely and without any inducement or assurance of any nature and intend it to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law and agree that if any portion of this agreement is held to be invalid, the balance, notwithstanding, shall continue in full force and effect. If you requested a private tryout, you must still pay the $35 placement fee. Additional charges may be assessed to cover additional coaching time. Registering for ice sessions for private tryout will be the responsibility of the skater. We will email you with additional information regarding your tryout.
