Auckland to Russell 23rd October 2020, $575.00 per person. Depart the boat late morning 24th October 2020 in Russell, Bay of Islands. Please arrange own transport back from Russell.

What is provided:  Food, drink whilst sailing, lifejackets, harness (if you have your own do bring) & a great sailing experience!

What to bring:  Personal clothing, wet weather jacket & pants (we do have sets aboard you can borrow), sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, soft shoes or sea boots, personal medication, suitable clothing – warm thermals, beanie etc., sleeping bag and pillow, head torch with red light for night, snacks to help keep you going. Please ensure it is all in a waterproof bag which is named.

What to organize:  Your transport back to Auckland after the race.  

Please note and understand that Steinlager 2 & Lion New Zealand are racing yachts with shared accommodation; Friday lunch, Friday dinner and Saturday breakfast and non-alcoholic drinks while racing are included in the price.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF SHARED LIABILITY

Yacht racing is challenging adventure activity and has a degree of inherent risk that will be managed in accordance with the Trust’s professional risk management procedures, participants should be aware and accept responsibility for these risks.   The New Zealand Sailing Trust therefore asks that you sign the following acknowledgement.

While recognising that the NZ Sailing Trust skipper and crew will take every precaution possible to ensure the safety and manage the risks inherent in the activities you will be participating in, I agree that I will accept responsibility for observing all safety procedures (including the wearing of safety clothing and equipment), obeying all instructions and using equipment in a proper manner.

The NZ Sailing Trust are not responsible for any injury to passengers or damage to property for any cause whatsoever. People with medical conditions will be accepted at the discretion of the skipper. The departure is subject to minimum numbers and the NZ Sailing Trust reserves the right to return to Auckland rather than complete the race if safety of the crew or the vessel is unduly compromised due to weather or other circumstances.

In the event of accident or illness, I authorise the staff of The Trust to obtain such medical assistance for myself as may be thought necessary.
