Room Parent

Room Parents should be available to help teachers throughout the school year. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to planning and attending holiday parties/classroom picnics, organizing classroom volunteers for various events and soliciting support or supplies for the classroom as needed.

Room Parents are required to attend a Virtual Orientation on Wednesday, August 31 at 7pm.

Due to high demand and limited slots, the PTO Board may not be able to accommodate all Room Parent requests. Contact Amanda Luther at aluther510@gmail.com with any questions about Room Parents.

2022-2023 PTO Fees & Activities Overview

In an effort to streamline the registration process, we have consolidated the fee per student by class grouping. There will be one fee per student, per grade which includes fees for the following activities:

Kindergarten: $43 / student to include the following:
- PTO Fees & Classroom Parties
- Phone/Address Directory
- All-School Yearbook
- “Specials” Teachers’ Holiday Gifts
1st - 4th Grades: $63 / student to include the following:
- PTO Fees & Classroom Parties
- Phone/Address Directory
- All-School Yearbook
- “Specials” Teachers’ Holiday Gifts
- Fun Lunch
5th Grade $88 / student to include the following:
- PTO Fees & Classroom Parties
- Phone/Address Directory
- All-School Yearbook
- “Specials” Teachers’ Holiday Gifts
- Fun Lunch
- 5th Grade Memory Book & Banner

Here is what each fee includes:

PTO Fees & Classroom Parties: Halloween, Winter, Valentine's Day, and Year-End. PTO will also purchase approved party snacks.
Phone/Address Directory: The directory contains important school and PTO calendar information, class lists, and contact information. This year’s fee will include access to the DirectorySpot app and a printed copy of the directory. Printed copies will available for pick-up at the Laidlaw office.
All-School Yearbook: A wonderful memory to look back at the school year that was!
"Specials" Teachers' Holiday Gifts: There are about 30 "specials" teachers working at Laidlaw, i.e., gym, art, music teachers, reading specialists, social worker, speech teacher, etc.
Fun Lunch: Students get to enjoy FIVE fun lunches throughout the school year.
5th Grade Memory Book & Banner: Each 5th Grader creates a memory page of their journey through Laidlaw. The pages are bound into a Memory Book with their pictures and a banner hangs in the gym.

Please note that this receipt will show Payment Status as "Payment Incomplete" becuase the receipt for this form from Formsite is sent prior to you completing payment on PayPal.
