How are Class Dues used?
K-5 classroom dues are managed and administered by classroom HRCs, and are used to fund four classroom parties throughout the year: Halloween, Winter Holiday, Valentine's Day and End of Year. HRCs use dues for party refreshments, activities and entertainment. They also use a portion of dues ($2/child) to create a gift basket that is raffled off at the annual Spring Fling, NES's biggest fundraiser of the year. K-5 class dues are not used for the purchase of teacher gifts.
6th grade dues fund the class t-shirt, 6th grade track meet, year-end recognitions, Spring Fling raffle baskets and the four whole grade celebrations including DJ/entertainment, pizza, snacks, decorations and supplies.
