El colectivo “Altepee” es un grupo de jóvenes , dedicad@s a la difusión de la música de cuerdas del sur de Veracruz, oriunda de nuestros pueblos originarios , y que a lo largo de trescientos años se ha venido transmitiendo de generación en generación, así a través de ella se da a conocer las diferentes expresiones socio-culturales que forman parte de la identidad de cada pueblo y sus habitantes , tales como el respeto y el cuidado a la tierra.
The collective, “Altepee” is a group of young people, dedicated to the diffusion of the traditional stringed music of the south of Veracruz. This music is native to the originative communities of those lands, and that for as long as 300 years has been passed down generation through generation. Through the music comes the understanding of different socio-cultural expressions that form part of the identities of each town and its inhabitants, for example the respect and nurturing of the earth.
