This is registration for Level 4 of the WIC Breastfeeding Curriculum and is referred to as the DBE Boot Camp. All DBEs must successfully complete WIC Breastfeeding Support levels 1-3 referred to as WIC Breastfeeding Support Level 1 and WIC Lactation Camp before completing Level 4.

Each DBE must register separately. Attendance is linked to the contact information provided in the registration form. The Multiple Participants at One Site attendance form will not be accepted for this training.

Each DBE must have a computer or tablet with video (camera), microphone and audio capabilities for virtual days. Telephone audio will NOT be available for this training.

Each DBE must have a breast model and baby doll or stuffed animal for both the virtual and in-person days.

As an active participant, you will not be able to work/help in clinic. Please ensure that you are not scheduled for any clinic or adminstrative activities during DBE Boot Camp.

This training is a hybrid training. It is TWO consecutive virtual days followed by ONE in-person day for a total of THREE days. The in-person day will be held in Asheville, Charlotte, and Greenville, each DBE must select one of these locations. (DBEs are not required to attend the in-person day in their LATCH region).

There are required independent study assignments. Campers will be required to complete independent study assignments before, during, and after DBE Boot Camp. The estimated time for all independent study activities is six (6) hours. It is broken down by one (1) hour prior to the start of DBE Boot Camp, three (3) hours between the virtual days and the in-person day, and two (2) hours after the completion of the in-person day. The post DBE Boot Camp independent study must be completed with two (2) weeks of the in-person day.

Each training session has a maximum capacity. Spots are available on a first come, first serve basis. If you are no longer able to attend your scheduled session, please cancel in a timely manner, so that the spot may be available to another DBE.
