Executive Council Contract

Note: Applicants do not need to sign the Executive Council Contract
until they are selected to be an ASC Executive Officer.




Upon confirmation of selection, I agree to serve in an Associated Student Council (ASC) Executive Officer position for Olivet Nazarene University from August 2022 through the Spring 2023 semester.

I acknowledge I must:

  1. Remain in good standing with the Department of Student Development, the Associated Student Council, and my respective supervisor(s).
    • Be above reproach in my behavior on and off the ONU campus
    • Avoid disciplinary action by the University and/or Law Enforcement
    • Fulfill the duties and responsibilities expected as outlined in my respective position overview (this includes, but is not limited to, training, special events, and additional duties deemed necessary requested by my supervisor)
    • Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  2. Educate and follow standard operating procedures set forth by both the University and the specific departments that you are representing. This includes, but is not limited to, professional communication and judgment.
  3. Accept the responsibility to refrain from sharing information processed that is confidential in nature. Such matters should never be disclosed unless permission has been granted by the University.
  4. Be willing and able to prioritize your ASC responsibilities above other commitments and obligations beyond academics. This will require you to set and maintain a minimum of five office hours per week between 8am and 5pm. In addition, there are scheduled meetings that all Executive Officers are required to incorporate into their schedules:
    • Executive Team Monthly (Non-chapel day, during chapel hour OR at 9pm on Tuesdays)
    • Advisor Meeting 3-4 per semester (Dates TBD) or as requested
    • Voting Council 3-4 times per semester (Tuesdays, 9pm)
    • Sub Committee 3-4 per semester (Tuesdays, 9pm)
    • Dean for Student Life As needed/as requested (times vary)
  5. Be available for new employee orientation and job shadowing, remote training, and designated team gatherings. (Some dates are yet to be determined.)
