Application Information

The TAGT Emerging Leaders Program is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to assist district G/T coordinators in working effectively with school staff, parents, students, and the community to positively impact the development of appropriate educational services for G/T students in the district.

Candidate Application Info:

Ideal candidates for Emerging Leaders Program are individuals responsible for districtwide G/T program leadership and are in their first 3 years of service in this position. 

Applications for this program are accepted through April 19, 2024 and applicants will be notified of acceptance the week of May 13, 2024.

Mentor Application Info:

Ideal mentors are current or retired individuals, with a minimum of 7 years of experience, who have/had responsibility for district G/T program leadership or are university professors working in the field of gifted education and have experience in the school setting. Mentors must be TAGT members who commit to participating in Emerging Leaders Program for a minimum of 1 year.

Mentors will be matched with a program participant by the Emerging Leaders Program Consultant and staff on the basis of similar district demographics and/or identified need.
