Did you not pass the skills testing?
BLS, ACLS, and PALS courses are strenuous physical activities that require the student to pass the required work. It takes some people a few times to pass the skills testing portion and some people pass on the first time, so we recommend you keep trying until you pass. Many people pass on their first try, but sometimes there is a learning curve to understand the computer system.
I am unable to do compressions on the RQI manikin due to injury.
If you are unable to do the compressions on the RQI manikin, you would not be able to pass the skills in an instructor led course. The manikins in both RQI and the instructor led courses have the exact same sensors to record the depth of compressions. If a student is not able to do compressions properly, the American Heart Association does not allow a certification card to be issued. You may want to talk to a supervisor and wait until your injury heals properly.
