How does WEDI support emerging businesses who want to start a small business in the Business Incubation Program?
- One-on-one coaching, mentorship and business development planning
- Workshops, training, and educational resources to expand owner skill set
- Individual vendor space (if retail vendor)
- Shared Commercial Kitchen (if startup restaurant)
- Subsidized rent for start-ups (below market rate)
- Business advisors & professionals on staff/WEDI board
- Access to capital & markets
Requirements to participate in our business incubator program
Below are some of the requirements you will need to agree to if accepted into the West Side Bazaar Business Incubator Program
- Desire to build and grow your new business in a supportive and collaborative environment before graduating to your own space
- Interested to finding new ways of growing your business, including partnerships and/or collaborations with other tenants
- Flexiblity to share common workspace and equipment, ability to work collboaratively with others
- Receptive to WEDI Business Incubator Program education and training and willingness to take advice in order to improve business and/or product, as well as to make changes needed to grow and thrive.
- Responsible for following the rules and regulations of business in New York State, as well as any additonal requiments for tenancy in West Side Bazaar or Downtown Bazaar
