The Drawing Exhibit

Juror: Steve Wilda
Steve Wilda resides in Western Massachusetts, and has worked extensively as a graphite and acrylic artist. Feature articles on his work have appeared online in ARTiculaction and Artist Portfolio Magazine, and also in the Spring 2016 issue of Acrylic Artist Magazine.

His work has appeared in a number of North Light Books on drawing, watercolor, and acrylic painting. He is a member of the Academic Artists Association, The National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic, and Allied Artists of America. He has served as juror for the The National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic organization in New York City and other art organizations. He has received numerous regional and international awards, most recently Second Place in The Artist Magazine’s still life category and Best In Show in the Academic Artists Association’s annual national exhibition this year. In 2015-2016, Steve curated a four-month pencil exhibition “Leaving Our Mark: In Celebration of the Pencil” at the D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts in Springfield, MA.
Eligibility: This juried exhibit is open to drawing in all forms. Mediums may include pencil, charcoal, graphite, pen and ink, markers, and silverpoint.
Deadline: Digital work must be uploaded by noon on Monday, October 2nd.
Size limitations: 40” on longest side. All work must be exhibition ready, wired and ready to hang.
Entry fee: Members: $10 per entry. Non-members: $15 per entry. Limit 3 entries, 2 acceptances.
Payment can be made on our website at through paypal, or by phone (860) 231-8019 with a major credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Discover). Your work will not be processed without entry payment.
Prizes: First prize: $500 cash prize. Additional awards to be announced.
Please note: Artists who have work accepted (and who live within a sixty mile radius) are required to gallery sit one afternoon during the exhibit.
Sales: All work must be for sale. A 30% commission will be taken on all sales.
Notification: Accepted work will be listed on our website Tuesday, October 31st by 12 noon.
CLOSE OF SHOW: Work may not be removed before the close of the gallery the last day of the show. Work not picked up by November 26th is left at owners' risk and will be subject to storage fees: $10 per day.

Delivery of accepted work: If your work is accepted into the exhibit, it will need to be shipped or delivered to the Art League by date here.
