Fill the Walls! Members Un-Juried

This exhibit is open to all West Hartford Art League members, who can each enter up to two works of art in all mediums. Our goal is to hang two pieces per member, All members who submit work will have at least one work hung. The second piece will depend on wall space availabiliy. Artwork may not exceed 40 inches on either side and must be properly hung, with wire on the back. Saw tooth hangers are not allowed.

ELIGIBILITY: This exhibit is open to all West Hartford Art League members. Work must have been created during the last 2 calendar years and not previously exhibited in a WHAL juried show. Work must be suitably framed and wired for hanging. Wrapped canvases are acceptable. Framed dimensions may not exceed 40 inches on longest side. Work on paper must be under glass or Plexiglas. Sculptures may not weigh more than 50 lbs.

SUBMISSIONS:

PLEASE NOTE:Registration is online .Members may submit up to two works of art. All members will have work hung. Number will depend on space and total number of entries..

2. Drop off work on Monday January 6th. Please be sure each piece is labeled on the back. You can download labels on our call to artists page.

ENTRY FEES: Members $10 per entry.

DROP OFF work: Monday, January 6, 10 - 12 noon.

OPENING RECEPTION: Sunday, January 12, 2-4 pm

CLOSE OF SHOW:

Work may not be removed before the close of the gallery the last day of the show. Work not picked up by Monday, January 13 is left at owners' risk.

SALES: All artwork must be for sale. A 30% commission is taken on all sales.

LIABILITY: Every reasonable care will be taken in the handling and storage of the works submitted; however the West Hartford Art League is not responsible for loss or damage. Accepted work will be insured at 70% of artist's retail price.

Artists who live outside a 70 mile radius of West Hartford are NOT required to sit. If your work is not accepted, you may request a refund of your $35 fee. Please call the office in advance of unaccepted pick up. Our first priority for volunteers is Saturday and Sunday. *
