St. Matthew Cathedral Catechesis of the Good Shepherd 2019-20

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd has a three year cycle of lessons for each level.
A child returning to the same level, will receive a new set of lessons each year.

Level 1 is for children ages 3 through 6
Level 2 is for ages 6 through 9
Level 3 is for ages 9 through 12

A child must be 3 years old by September 1 in order to register for Level 1.

The registration windows for this year are as follows:

1. Registration for catechists and ministers will be accepted on or after August 3.

2. Registration for returning (to the CGS program) St. Matthew Parish families will be accepted on or after August 7.

3. Registration for new (to the CGS program)  St. Matthew Parish families will be accepted on or after August 9.

4. Registration for returning (to the CGS program)  non-parishioners will be accepted on or after August 14.

5. Registration for new (to the CGS program) non-parishioners will be accepted on or after August 16.

Completion of the registration form on line does not guarantee placement.
You will be contacted to confirm enrollment.

Classes begin after Labor Day.
Once class lists are finalized, each family will be contacted directly by their child's catechist with the specific start date for that class and other pertinent information.

Children attending St. Matthew Cathedral School pre-school have the opportunity to attend Level 1 during the school week.  Children attending St. Matthew Cathedral kindergarten will attend Level 1 and those attending 1st grade will attend Level 2 during the school day.

The registration fee is $45 for the first child, and $10 for each additional child in the family.  Payment will be accepted the first week of class and can be given to your child's catechist.
